I was optimistic about purchasing this so I took 2 batteries to the store w/me to try it out and my ipod touch. I was pleasantly surprised when I easily hooked it up and it played. I turned my ipod all the way up thinking that controlled the volume which was decent since Bed Bath & Beyond was playing music in the store. Then I noticed the volume keys and pushed it to its limit and could hear my song clearly over the music in the store. I had a coupon for $5.00 off so I went back to get another because I know my kids will use mine all the time. I don't have an ipod connection in my car so I've been using this and its great.
